Device Repair Service Agreement

DISCLAIMER 

  1. You agree to let Computerden(Forfar Computer Repairs Limited) fix your device. Computerden will only perform and provide computer services, repairs and upgrades as requested by the customer. Computerden will conduct honest, reasonable and considerate services. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of service and support, but specific results cannot be guaranteed.
  2. Computer Service/repairs are provided as a service. There may be circumstances under which your device cannot be repaired. It will have to be rebuilt or upgraded. Examples: Age of PC, repair/replacement parts obsolete (Memory, Motherboards, etc.)
  3. The length of time required to service/repair your computer is hard to predict. Our initial diagnostics will determine a best case scenario, we aim to have diagnostics completed within 24-48 hours for a standard job, Board work can take 1-2 weeks.
  4. You understand that in the process of working on your device, there is a potential for data loss. You agree that you have met the necessary backups of your data so that, in the event of such loss, the data can be restored. Computerden will not be responsible for data loss nor will Computerden be responsible for restoring lost data. If we predict data loss we can attempt to backup your data for you but you understand this can lead to further data loss or damage.
  5. You authorize the technician(s) providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and any other necessary software on your computer to perform the required services. All software will be deleted or uninstalled upon completion of the service (unless it was purchased).
  6. If a device cannot be tested before starting work ie a broken screen or no power. ComputerDen cannot be held accountable for any further damage found as we cant know if that damage was present before 
    BILLING TERMS 
    There is a minimum charge of £15.00 for Diagnostics and £25.00 for hardware examinations performed if you do not choose to go with the estimate provided.
  7. An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs. Estimates are not guaranteed.
  8. In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation beyond the above estimated amount, every effort will be made to contact the customer and inform the customer of the situation and receive authorisation to continue or stop at that estimate limit.
  9. In the case that you cannot be reached, work will be stopped until contact is established. Once you are reached; your decision to continue or stop will be honored by Computerden.
  10. Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs unless you have a credit agreement in place.
  11. Computer parts, hardware, and software of high monetary value that need to be specially ordered must be paid in advance.
  12. Computerden accepts cash, credit cards, Bacs payments or cheques. Credit will be given to authorized persons only. 
    LIABILITY 
  13. Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the device(s) for which you request such service(s).
  14. Your system will not be intentionally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer; not damage it.
  15. In the case of accidental damage to your system, including data loss caused by already existing problems in your system such as a virus, poorly configured software, hardware problems or hardware failures; You agree to not hold Computerden responsible to any of these pre-existing problems.
  16.  It is your responsibility to backup your data. Computerden will not be responsible for data loss or any other damages.
    SUPPORT 
  17. Customer satisfaction is of our utmost importance.
  18. All Services will be conducted in a professional, reasonable, and timely manner. Also, taking into consideration the circumstances and nature of the technical problems.
*Abandoned Equipment
Any equipment left 90 days or longer will be considered abandoned. We will attempt to contact customers to advise and seek instructions for disposal or collection during the 90 day period.
Failure to instruct the Company will result in disposal after the specified period of 90 days. We cannot store equipment unless an agreement has been made with Computerden.
Collections should be made and items returned for any future work to be carried out.
